New Haven Computer Company was founded in 1983 by Henry Farkas. Henry has been a technician, programmer, field engineer and service manager since 1980.

New Haven Computer started as a third party repair shop, performing component-level service for individuals, small businesses and computer stores. In 1986 Henry expanded his practice to include programming and consulting.

In 1990 he added local area Networking to NHCC's suite of services. Later, we've added System and Network Administration and Security, Training, and Web Hosting.

Henry was hired by the University of New Haven as an adjunct professor of Computer Science and Director of the Microcomputer Laboratory at the Institute of Computer Studies. Henry later accepted the position of Network Administrator for the university, where he created and ran the school's Internet wide area network.

Henry was later hired by IBM to do System and Network Administration and Security. This division was later sold to AT&T. Henry has always had a few loyal customers, some of whom have been with him since 1983, and most will not trust their systems to anyone else. Henry considers this a compliment of the highest order, and thanks them.

About the time AT&T was getting ready to be sold, his position was eliminated in a massive layoff of over 4,700 people. After much thought and consultation, he decided to make the leap and now New Haven Computer Company, L.L.C. is his sole occupation.
