From ChrisP@steldyn.comThu May 23 11:47:39 1996 Date: Thu, 23 May 1996 08:02:10 -0600 From: Chris Pugrud To: Firewalls Mailing list Subject: Net Acronyms Yes, Microsoft is destroying RTFM all together. Just yesterday I got in my copy of the $3600 USD Exchange server. The "manual" was a very thin "Installation Guide". The rest of the manuals are on the CD-ROM. There was a nice little card informing me that I could order printed manuals for only $74.95 USD ($99.00 CDN). I'm really at a loss as to what expletives we are going to have to move to to accompany this new development in manual packaging: OTFM - Order the "Fine" manual, along with implications of "cheapness" and inadequate budget. At least we could tell them OTFM and then RTFM!!!! TSDIFR - That shiny disc is for reading! Not setting your coffee cup on! One should never disgrace AOL disks by placing their beverages containers on other software media. I should obviously quit and take a nap, err catch up on my email before I get forcibly ejected for excessively dry humor and insufficient intake of coffee while making a post.
